He coached several big companies like Ahold, Wehkamp, Randstad, SNS Bank, Triodos Bank and Tommy Hilfiger. He also coached many smaller companies such as Zicht Online, Digitpaint, Boerdam and Finaps. Furthermore, he coached government organizations such as Waternet and Provincie Groningen. While Marco’s background is software development, he frequently helps to apply Scrum in non-IT settings such as marketing teams.
Marco’s experience with Agile dates back to the beginning of the Agile movement in 2001. In that period, Marco was part of OTI, a company founded by Agile pioneers. As software developer at OTI he worked on Eclipse, a popular development tool that was created by a number of Agile teams. Later Marco co-founded NLScrum and frequently co-trained with Scrum founder Jeff Sutherland. In 2011, Marco became the second Certified Scrum Trainer in the Netherlands.
Marco has given countless Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) trainings. He loves doing these and puts his heart and soul in it. This is reflected by the thrilled reviews and LinkedIn recommendations of participants.
