What will you learn?
Many providers currently offer CISSP® exam preparation, mainly focusing on training for the exam. However, our experience shows that many underestimate the CISSP® exam. Simply practicing exam questions and studying theory is insufficient to understand and apply the material. Our CISSP® training emphasizes a deep understanding and practical application of the concepts alongside exam preparation. It consists of ten classroom training days, including theory, practical case studies, and practice questions. Each domain is thoroughly covered, giving you ample time to master the content. On the final day, you will take a comprehensive CISSP® mock exam (with a specific focus on the Dutch situation).

In this 10-day training, you will:
Learn about Security and Risk Management, effective asset protection, security governance, compliance, business continuity, and risk management in an organization.
Develop your understanding of Asset Security. You will know how to secure and monitor assets to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and organizational availability.
Master the concepts and principles for designing and implementing secure applications, operating systems, and networks (Security Architecture and Engineering).
Gain insights into Communication and Network Security by studying network architectures, communication methods, protocols, and measures for ensuring security in an organization.
Grasp Identity and Access Management (IAM). You will learn about identification, authentication, authorization, and access control mechanisms and techniques.
Delve into Security Assessment and Testing: discover vulnerability assessment and risk recognition techniques in IT systems.
Understand Security Operations and operational security in centralized and distributed environments.
Explore application security and design software with security in mind. (Security Software Development).
The goal of Module 1 is to provide you with knowledge and understanding of policies, methods, concepts, structures, and standards for effectively securing business assets. This module also covers leadership, organizational structures, behavior, and security awareness.

Exam and Certification
The CISSP® exam is administered by (ISC)² and is not included in the training. The CISSP® exam is a theoretical test that requires thorough preparation and in-depth knowledge. After the course, you must invest additional time in self-study to prepare for the exam.
The 3-hour exam consists of 100 to 150 open and multiple-choice questions (in English). The new adaptive testing style tailors the rest of the exam based on your responses to the first question, accommodating your comprehension of the material. The exam cost is approximately €520. Upon successful completion of the CISSP® exam and having sufficient work experience, you can apply for the CISSP® title with (ISC)².

This training is offered by our training partner, Security Academy. Their experts collaborate with Xebia Academy, focusing on new security technologies, information security, business continuity, privacy & data protection, and crisis management.
