Welcome to the Open Source at GoDataDriven, November 2018 edition.
We start with Bas, who contributed to our beloved Apache Airflow with PR 4071, 4104, 4206, and 4215.
Fokko was not planning to do anything with Airflow, but felt threatened by Bas so he went on and
contributed PR 4246 to it. Besides that the went on a PR spree with Apache Avro, contributing PR
370, 371, 372, 377, and 390.
On the side he contributed PR 408 and 409 to the Spark connector for Azure Event Hub, PR
395 to the Java client library for Azure Event Hub, PR 6419 to Apache Superset, PR 91 to
evol, and PR 24 to Apache yetus.
Speaking of evol, Vincent added two new major features (callbacks and problem instances) with
PR 89 and 86.
And to close this edition, we have a new entry: Diederik contributed PR 401 to LightFM, an
awesome recommender built by friend of PyData and GoDataDriven Maciej!
That’s it for this edition! If you, like many others, are searching for you next challenge for
2019, don’t forget we’re hiring! (Especially software and data engineers!).
