Welcome to the Open Source at GoDataDriven, September and October 2018 edition, otherwise called the better late than never edition.
I’ve been late, my fault.
But let’s get to it! Fokko started by contributing to Airflow with PR 3844, 3905, 3906,
3911, 3931, 3932, 3935.
Then he started contributing to the beloved Apache Avro project with PR 332, 334, and 336 — why
only even numbers I wonder. They were so good that the Avro project decided to promote him to committer on the project (see here).
Bas did some work on Airflow as well, with PR 3914.
Kris contributed to the Docker image of Divolte with PR 6 and 7.
Tim and Vincent each started a new open source project. Check out the pages for baseliner and
brain-memory to see what they were up to!
That’s it for this edition! If you, like many others, are searching for you next challenge for
2019, don’t forget we’re hiring! (Especially software and data engineers!).
If you want more rambling throughout the month, follow me on Twitter: I’m gglanzani there!
