Renewing Your Certification: Changes in 2019

Are you ready to renew your certification? Scrum Alliance announced a couple of important changes that will go into effect on February 4, 2019:

"To validate your participation and continued proficiency in the fundamental principles and practices of Scrum, you are required to earn Scrum Education Units® (SEUs) by completing an educational training or learning opportunity."

What does this mean for you if you have to renew? There are a couple of possibilities, depending on your expired certification:

Your certification has been expired for less than two years and:

• if you renew before February 4, you only have to pay the renewal fee.
• if you renew after February 4, you need 20 SEUs for CSM and CSPO in addition to the renewal fee.

Your certification has been expired more than two years, in which case you will have to contact Scrum Alliance support to renew.

Note: All SEUs used for renewal must have been earned within the past two (2) years.
