As a DevOps team, you want to be responsible for your application from development until production, so you start with Docker. As you start growing the number of services your organization must manage, it becomes difficult to deploy because of slight differences between the services. Additionally, scaling up individual components is difficult and a tiresome manual task.
Your organization chooses to adopt Kubernetes for hosting, and you need to learn how to deploy your (cloud-native) apps on a cluster. That’s when you register for this training!
...if you are a Developer who wants to learn how to deploy, configure, and test your containerized applications on a Kubernetes cluster. CKAD is a Foundation level training, which means we start from the ground up. Still, there are requirements for participation. You know command-line tools and Linux operating system environments, and you are familiar with programming languages like Golang, Node.JS, or Python.
This 1-day training starts with the basics to get all attendees up to speed on how you should deploy an application on Kubernetes. During the training, we combine theoretical parts to explain concepts within Kubernetes with practical parts where we gradually build out the deployment of our application. Starting with just a simple ‘Hello world,’ you will leave with a multi-tiered, highly available application running on a Kubernetes cluster in an instructor-led tutorial.
Your trainers are also DevOps, IT Architecture, SRE, and Software Engineering Consultants. They are gurus in their field, who will provide a well-balanced mix of background theory and practical know-how. They are happy to share their experiences, for you to better understand Kubernetes and prepare for your CKAD exam!
The Kubernetes Application Developer exam (plus one retake) and Cloud Native Computer Foundation certificate are included in the training. The exam is taken online at your moment of choice. It consists of a set of problems you need to solve in a command line and will take you approximately two hours to complete. After passing the exam, you will receive your CKAD certificate., which is valid for 24 months, after which you will have to meet renewal requirements.
