There are many ways to learn something new. At Xebia Academy, we're great fans of learning by doing and this SRE Game is just one of the ways we do so. During this simulation, you and your team will be in charge of a fictional system landscape. Select the right DevOps practices, choose the best architectural patterns and learn how to improve reliability immediately!
This Game is perfect for anyone involved in IT Development, Operations or Service Management, especially if you are responsible for Reliability, Monitoring or Operations. Previous participants are, for example, CTOs, Product Owners, DevOps Engineers, Operations Managers, Software Developers, Incident and Change Managers, System Administrators and IT Architects. Specific prior knowledge is not required.
During the Game, you will be asked to make some tough choices (together). For example, do you choose to invest in redesigning your architecture or do you focus on the implementation of new features? Will you solve major stability problems first or is it a better idea to wait for a new release? Are you going to ignore P1 incidents at your own risk? In this 4-hour game, we combine theory and practice to provide you (and your team) with a better understanding of Reliability Engineering.
You will learn:
This SRE Game is supervised by experts in their field, specialists we also call gurus. Your trainer is someone with extensive IT and software experience, who is happy to share his or her knowledge and skills to help your team excel.
Besides this SRE Game, we also offer the Site Reliability Engineering Foundation training. This 2-day training is at Foundation level. That means that we start with the basics of SRE. If you and your team are interested to find out more about SRE after the game, we advise you to follow this training. Click here for more information!
After registering for this SRE Game you will receive a confirmation email with practical information. One week before the training, we will ask you about your dietary requirements and we will share literature if preparation is required. See you soon!
