Welcome to the Open Source at GoDataDriven, December 2017 edition.
I’m terribly late as I was enjoying some time off. But not everyone was still during this time.
So let’s kick this edition off.
Rogier and Vincent published a new open source tool, evol,
a python grammar for evolutionary algorithms and heuristics. They worked on it for 6 months, so
check it out! They also have nice pictures!
But they were not the only ones publishing a new project! Robert published Samenvattr, a
Dutch-language extractive text summarization tool (hence the same: samenvatten means summarise in
Dutch).
Then we have Fokko who contributed:
- PR 2866 and 2870 to Airflow;
- PR 158, 162 and 163 to Stocator, a high performing connector to object storage for Spark;
- PR 20103 to Spark;
- Ansible scripts to deploy Airflow.
That’s it for this edition!
