Hilversum, the Netherlands, August 22, 2022 — Xebia has, together with A.P. Moller - Maersk (Maersk), won a Silver award at the Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards 2022. Their Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) capability program received a Silver Award in the Learning and Development area for ‘Best Advance in Competencies and Skill Development’.
Xebia is humbled and proud to announce that Maersk and Xebia have won a Silver award at the 2022 Brandon Hall Group HCM Excellence Awards.
Together, they have developed Maersk’s Site Reliability Engineering learning journey. This capability program is an organization-wide initiative to raise awareness and achieve a culture shift to enhance Maersk’s client experience, reliability, and business value.
The Site Reliability Engineering topic covers a broad range of aspects. To adapt the general SRE principles, as developed by Google, to the context of the Maersk organization and its employees, a multi-dimensional approach was implemented. The program focused on:
- Launching the initiative on a global scale by distributing an interactive, web-based SRE Game,
- Interactive training sessions to set the SRE foundation, followed up by deep-dives to master the SRE principles,
- Targeted training, tailored to different personas and addressing Maersk-specific case studies,
- Involving management from day one to ensure sustainable success. SRE is not limited to technical questions; it involves a change of mindset and culture throughout the entire organization.
