We were thrilled to be a part of Microsoft Build 2024! Our team of AI and GitHub experts were present at the Community Booth to share knowledge and answer questions about GitHub, .NET, and AI on the Microsoft platform.

Expert Guidance and Insights

Our professionals were on hand to provide invaluable advice on leveraging Microsoft’s extensive AI product suite. We connected with many individuals, assisting those in the design phase of their AI solutions and helping others navigate the complexities of Microsoft’s AI offerings.

For us, the event was full of exciting new developments, including Copilot+ PCs with SDKs, and, of course, a lot of discussions about AI. We had numerous conversations with Microsoft, GitHub, and customers, exchanging valuable insights.

Key Highlights

Azure AI Studio & LLMOps: Our experts offered in-depth advice on Azure AI Studio and LLMOps on the first day. Attendees learned how to select, test, and develop models from inception to production, gaining crucial insights into streamlining their AI development process.

Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) & Azure AI Search: In the following days, we focused on advanced AI technologies, showcasing how RAG and Azure AI Search can transform data retrieval and enhance AI capabilities.

GitHub Copilot for Azure: With the introduction of GitHub Copilot Extensions, and demos of GitHub Copilot for Azure, GitHub created a lot of buzz and questions, resulting in fascinating conversations between attendees and our Xebia experts.

Certification Success

In addition to our sessions and interactions, @RobBos took and passed the AI 102 Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate exam. This certification underscores the commitment to maintaining the highest standards of expertise in Azure AI technologies.

Hands-On Labs

We also served as proctors for the ‘Interacting with Large Language Models labs’, guiding participants through their first steps in using generative AI within Azure AI Studio. These hands-on sessions provided real-world applications and actionable insights, empowering attendees to harness the full potential of generative AI.

Video Spotlights

On Day 3, members of our Xebia team joined the Build Livestream broadcast globally. First, Josh Garverick and Esteban Garcia joined Dona Sarkar to talk about the impact that being part of the Dev community has had on our careers and our journey to becoming MVPs. Later that day, Josh joined Christina Warren, where they discussed his favorite Build announcement and customer-related news.

On Wednesday evening, Xebia hosted a small gathering with our Seattle-based team at the Butcher’s Table, clients, and partners from GitHub and Microsoft. It was a great way to unwind and talk about all the new features that we had seen throughout the day while connecting with our close partners and amazing clients.
