Modernization Experience Based Acceleration (ModAx) is an innovative approach to modernization, emphasizing hands-on, agile execution to achieve specific cloud objectives.

Application modernization is a process that combines:

Architecture

Technologies

Software delivery

Operational practices

ModAX enables teams to focus on software quality, innovation and business added value.

By moving to cloud or modernizing application already "living" in the cloud, your company can take advantage of security, scalability, elasticity, resiliency, automation and much more, while reducing cost and carbon emissions. This results in a conscious architecture.

The Process

Xebia guides ambitious organizations through the modernization process, ensuring a secure, cost optimized and environmentally-conscious architecture.

Phase one (1 week)

Assess & Architect

Rapid Discovery with a Modernization Assessment workshop

Identifying 2-3 MVP opportunities in your organization

Matching pathways and creating target architectures

Presenting recommendations and next steps to build MVP(s)

Xebia will plan a 4-hour in-person workshop with your team. The goal is to gain deeper insights into their system's vision, objectives, and current status.

Ultimately, the outcome we aim for from this workshop is to identify 2-3 systems or processes that are suitable candidates for modernization. These selections will guide the creation of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for which we can build blueprints for microservices or even serverless implementations or leverage prepared building blocks for each moderinzation path.

Phase two (1-2 weeks)

Build & Deploy

Building and deploying MVPs

Presentation of solutions and defining next steps for Modernization

Working session with your team to demonstrate all implemented solutions and decisions that led to them

Ongoing Modernization post engagement

This phase includes preparing solutions, proposing high-level architecture for other systems, conducting a comprehensive presentation, defining  scope, priorities, ownership, and proposing a timeline. A key element is also setting up a minimum 4-hour working session to walk you through the  solution, explaining decision-making processes, service selection, benefits, integrations, development, deployment, monitoring, security, and  optimizations.

The goal is to provide you with a clear vision of you modernization journey, including learning, adoption, ownership assignments, expectations, and the scope of modernization.
