How will you help create value as a Senior Program Manager?

What will you be doing to help create a digital transformation?

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Assessing the Situation: Collaborating with customers to dive deep into their current state. You’ll lead interviews, run engaging workshops, and analyze documentation and IT artifacts to gain a clear understanding of the business strategy, technology landscape, and key challenges.

  • Architecting & Strategizing: Working hand-in-hand with clients to craft a tailored Tech Strategy that aligns with their business goals. You’ll design the necessary building blocks: Organization, People, Technology, Architecture, and Processes to bring the business strategy to life.

  • Transforming: Taking the strategy and turning it into action! You’ll design and drive plans that bring the Tech strategy to life, monitor progress, activate key business drivers, and manage stakeholder expectations to ensure smooth execution.

  • Program Management: Lead large-scale transformation projects, typically lasting 1–2 years with budgets ranging from €1M to €10M. You’ll coordinate interdependent projects, craft clear roadmaps, and ensure successful delivery, all while keeping teams aligned and focused.

  • Leadership & Change Management: You’ll be at the forefront, leading cross-functional teams client-side, Xebia experts, and nearshore/offshore personnel. You’ll manage relationships, ensure projects stay on track and on budget, and adapt plans as necessary. Your leadership will guide the team through complex changes, ensuring high performance and consistent delivery that exceeds expectations.

  • Business acumen: Commercially driven and supporting the clients in creating business value propositions and spotting opportuities.

What You Need to Succeed in This Role

Success in this role requires a strong blend of strategic thinking, leadership, and technical insight. You’ll be working in complex environments, managing multiple teams, and driving transformation across organizations.

Your role will also include:

  • Consultancy: At least 5–10 years of relevant experience in consulting, with a strong background in business development, creating client value propositions and business cases.

  • Technology Transformation Experience: At least 5-10 years of experience in leading large-scale transformation programs. Familiarity with cloud technologies, data platforms, IT landscapes, and emerging trends without needing to be a specialist in any single system.

  • Organizational Design & Strategy: Experience shaping structures and driving strategic initiatives that create lasting impact.

    A deep understanding of how to drive and sustain transformation in large organizations and change management.

  • Program & Project Management: A track record of managing large-scale, complex programs (typically lasting one to two years) and the ability to create and execute ambitious roadmaps.

  • Executive Stakeholder Management: Strong ability to engage, influence, and align senior leaders and key decision-makers.

  • Global & Distributed Teams: Experience leading teams across different locations, including nearshore and offshore, while navigating complex stakeholder dynamics.

  • Preferably having program/project management certifications such as PMI-PMP or PRINCE2.
