Business Analyst – Cloud & Infrastructure

At Xccelerated, we are looking for a Business Analyst to join one of our clients for 12 months and play a key role in enabling the successful adoption of next-generation cloud and infrastructure services.
About the Role
In this role, you will work with a forward-thinking organization that is investing heavily in modernizing its IT landscape. Technology is a key enabler of their business strategy, and their Cloud & Infrastructure department is at the forefront of this transformation. You’ll collaborate with engineers, architects, and stakeholders across the business to support the adoption and optimization of virtual machines (VMs), scalable infrastructure, and cloud-native services.
As a Business Analyst, you’ll act as the critical link between technical teams and business units—ensuring cloud solutions not only meet technical standards, but also align with user needs, compliance requirements, and operational goals. You’ll help shape the infrastructure roadmap, facilitate smooth transitions to the cloud, and ensure teams across the organization understand and benefit from the new capabilities.
Your Key Responsibilities
Stakeholder Engagement
· Act as the primary point of contact for business teams in cloud and infrastructure projects.
· Gather, analyse, and document requirements related to infrastructure needs, cloud migrations, and system performance.
Cloud & Infrastructure Translation
· Translate business goals into clear and actionable requirements for infrastructure and cloud engineering teams.
· Bridge the gap between business needs and technical capabilities, ensuring alignment across all levels.
Documentation & Process Mapping
· Create and maintain clear, user-friendly documentation for cloud services, VM usage, and infrastructure processes.
· Support the development of infrastructure-related policies and standards based on user needs and compliance requirements.
Feedback & Continuous Improvement
· Gather input from end-users and stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in infrastructure services.
· Work closely with engineers and product owners to help prioritize and refine the infrastructure roadmap.
Change Management & Enablement
· Support adoption by organizing workshops or demos to explain new infrastructure capabilities.
· Coordinate with IT teams to ensure changes are communicated and understood across the organization.
What You Bring
• A solid understanding of infrastructure concepts such as Virtual Machines, networking, storage, and cloud computing (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• 3 – 5 years of experience as a business analyst, product owner, or similar role in a technical environment.
• Experience working in or with cloud and infrastructure teams on IT transformation or modernization projects.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, especially when translating technical solutions for non-technical users.
• The ability to break down complex systems into simple processes and communicate them clearly.
• Experience with documentation, requirement gathering, and user-centric problem solving.
• A proactive mindset with attention to detail and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
